Quick summary (for those that didn't see the original problem in a separate post):

I recently received a Super HD system which worked fine for a few minutes before powering itself off. Upon powering it back on, I was greeted with a small pop and smoke (blowing out of the power-supply). Yay!

Initially, I figured I'd just replace the visibly blown fuse and re-cap the power-supply (all but three caps were leaky, and C31 was, eh, "lightly toasted"), and that would be the end of it, but it seems there is another problem...

Zener diode Z31 is blown (as in: apart, to kingdom come, to smithereens, ad nauseum...)

Did some Google searches, and apparently, this is more common than I would have thought.(http://x68k.net/x68dengen/)

Gosh, I sure love projects...  ::)

I'll let you guys know how it goes!

Do keep us posted.

And yes, it's very common.  That's why this replacement guide is so popular.  =)
