I got the release from BEEP! for this game, but it has one bad sector (see attachment). The game runs from floppy, but will probably crash eventually since i can't be copies to the HDD by following the "Ys.R" and "Ys.YAR" files to HDD, which fails.

Does somebody else here have a copy of this release? Thanks

Bought it and waiting for the late June restock for BEEP to ship to proxy. I'll dump it soon. I have a flux reader don't worry

Game has no protection.  You can eaisly dump and write directly off an X68000.  I have kryoflux, but I only use it as a last resort.

Sorry, but I will not be sharing a game that is still for sale.  The owner of Beep is a very cool dude.  If you email Beep, they will replace your floppy.

Oh I'm sorry my post can be interpreted like that. I was worried this could be a generalized issue and wanted to confirm others had a working copy.

I'll contact them, but I don't want them to incur on extra costs since I highly value their work.

Thanks for replying

Ok.  Mine works fine.  Copying the games to hdd worked on my first try.  I have completed both games and not had any issues.  So I think you just had some bad luck.

Overall this a very nice release.  But the lack of a 24khz option makes me sad.

Hello,

I, too, have purchased this release of Ys from BEEP, and I'd like to take an image of the disks, as I only have one working drive on my OG X68000 system. What is the best & recommended way to take a backup image of my disks that I can use with the FDX68 and MiSTer?

Thanks!

@Artemio did you got a replacement of the failing floppy? I also ordered mine, from the 2nd batch, haven't opened it yet haha saving it for a video on my youtube channel.

So, if you still need the disk, let me know!
