So I got that US Metal Combat cart for about 2 years but I can't play it because I don't possess a Super Scope. And to be honest I don't plan on getting on of these big ugly battery-sucking IR behemoths. ;)

But I got 3 lightguns for the Saturn so I modified one of them to work on the SNES. It seems to work allright.

Right now the lightgun is soldered directly to the 2P controller port. I really need to get a SNES controller plug that has all 7 pins (or at least 6 pins).
Does somebody know where I could get these plugs?

I think your best bet is an extension cord off eBay. Was getting the light gun to work just a case of connecting the wires together or was it more complicated than that?

Why not buy two controllers and salvage the missing pins from the other controller cable ? You then can make a new cable with the pins you need.

Hmm... I wouldn't feel comfortable ripping apart an original SNES pad let alone 2 of them. That would be pretty expensive, too.
I guess I'll buy an extension cable but these aren't cheap neither...

For now I found some Mini Mate female pins and put them into the SNES connector of a really shitty 3rd party controller. It's working although it fits really tight.

The mod is fairly easy. All you need is a MOS4021. I also added 2 switches for pause and selecting single/multiple shots. Here are some pics.

Wow dude thats so awsome! I always wanted a super scope, but as you say they are huge things which take tones of batterys and cost a fortune. I'm going to buy the parts and try this.
