Need help with Megadrive/Genesis wire colours

I would like to know which colour wires are responsible for the A & B buttons please?

Sega changed their colors often, and you could even have a third party controller and not know it. Open up the pad and trace the wires to the buttons.

A & B buttons use the same wire, which you might have figured out if you'd read my dated and more or less incomprehensible page on gamesx.com.
