Changing the Saturn green LED light to a RED one?

Since my model 2 saturn does NOT have the extra port for the access LED (like the mod described on this Gamesx site)..I was wondering if it would hurt the system or even matter If I removed the current green power LED and simply replaced it with a red one. If I can do it, should I get one with a certain type or of certain wattage or something? Or does it not matter? Also would a higher light intensity make too much heat for the unit? Someone who knows what they are talking about drop me a respone please  B)

LEDs don't generate any noticable heat, and if they do it's your clue that too much voltage is being applied.

Any normal LED should work fine in that slot.  All LEDs are 3v unless they're not, you'd have to actually TRY to find a 5 or 1.8v LED, so don't worry about getting one unintentionally.
