I have a X68000 XVI  that is now sitting in a room mainly for decoration nowadays. But I decided to fire the beast up when I saw that there is a mini version of it up for crowfunding.
So when I switched it on, everything looked normal except for the XPC-4 scaler not displaying a picture.
I remembered that these old computers are known for failing due to old capacitor issue.
Luckily for me, I have another XVI for spare parts. So I swapped the PSU and then picture was ouput by the XPC-4.

I have a game on the 81MB hard drive so I could test if everything was ok. Then I tried to launch some game on floppy.
The driver 0 was able to read but when I put a floppy in driver 1, I heard an ugly noise.
Marchen Maze displaying a message telling that there is a problem with the floppy drive. So I swapped the floppy drives and now everything seems to work.
There is a just a glitch with the PSU behavior. I can't shut the power unless I switch off the rear switch. When I push the front power button to switch off, there is the fading screen to black but the PSU fan still turns.
If anyone knows a solution , I'll be glad to learn about it.

I had this same problem with one of my X68k systems.  It's failing capacitors throughout the system that prevent the power from shutting off properly.  Probably!  It could be something else, but this is a well known problem.

Thanks for the answer. I guess I'll have to go with it. I looked at some x68K repair thread and it looks like a major drag.
