Hi Guys

I've just sold an unused Cz-6be2c/cz-6be4c Sharp 4MB board and the buyer have a XVI compact. I will send to him monday but the problem is that I only tested it with a Super model and according to this table on the X68000 faq only model CZ-6BE4D are listed as compatible (4MB):

I didn't find a picture of CZ-6BE4D. Maybe it's a board for use in the exclusive XVI compact memory slot.

What you think? Cz-6be2c/cz-6be4c will not work on XVI compact or will not work in 16mhz mode?

Also have a KGB-PRK II board that I could offer to the buyer. But I think will be the same...

Thanks

Can't speak about this precise model; but I've used in my compact (and X68030) the RAM expansion PIO-6834-2/4M-1 that it's not listed in the FAQ as compatible without problems, it fits in the slot and works fine.

So far as I know the only model specific ram expansion modules for X68000 machines are the internal type that go into a tiny slot on the motherboard. The OG, ACE and XVI models have these. The other type, which just slot into the expansion board slots should be universal.

Thanks for the replies!  ;)

I tested with a XVI Tower and indeed the board works with 16mhz.  8)
