How to get NTSC NES to display in colour??

I have acquired a NTSC NES system, but when i have it hooked it up to my TV via the AV connections at the side of the NES the display is in black and white, i know my TV excepts an NTSC signal cos i have a NTSC SNES and PS2! How can i get the NES to out put in colour, if i do the lockout mod on the NES with this sort the problem out??

SNES and PS2 output RGB so they bypass the NTSC colour problem with most tvs.

NES doesn't output RGB it only does NTSC in composite and rf, if it's displaying in black and white then your tv doesn't support pure NTSC.

as far as i know. i don't have a PAL TV to test it on.
