Disk Explorer Help:

I've been gagging to enjoy caius' kind `Mini V2HDD image` contribution here:

The thing is that I have no idea how to enjoy using Disk Explorer.

I was advised to do a forum search but this proved fruitless as I could only search two words at a time.  I also hunted for any tutorials on-line but to no avail. 

I have downloaded Disk Explorer and I can see the folders for the individual games now, but I have no idea how to gain access to them so I can test them in WinX68k High-Speed.

So close, yet so far!

If anyone can help me bearing in mind that I really struggle with anything technical I would be most grateful.

The WinX68K HighSpeed support the external SCSI image (*.HDS) if you use the needed ROMs.

For this case no need to use the Disk Explorer.

Just makes it even more embarrassing to report that I still couldn't work out how to do it even though I tried for hours.  So sorry. 

Would it be possible to list exactly what I click and where to get it to work please?  I'm clearly missing something apart from a brain!

I am using WinX68kHighSpeed Emulator on Windows 7.

I've found that on a fresh install of Win68kHighSpeed you often have to boot first from a Human68k floppy disk, run switch.x, set the boot to standard or scsi0, then save, quit and reboot.

Run SWITCH.X to change the BIOS settings
The only option you need to change is "BOOT"
Change "STD" to "SCSI0"
Save (Y) the new settings.
"sram.dat" is now updated.

If the procedure is too complicated, replace the "sram.dat" (see attachment) in your WinX68K HighSpeed folder.

Again, I`m so sorry but I can`t get to the games to play them despite another fantastic guide.  Thank you so much for trying so hard for me.

Is there any one that would kindly upload all the games on caius' `Mini V2HDD image` to mediafire as separate games in DIM or XDF format?  This way we can all enjoy them in an infinitely more user friendly and newbie friendly manner.

I'm gagging to play the games which is what makes it so frustrating.

So do you want to make my work useless and go back to single game in floppy disk images?
Really, I don understand your choice.
If running games from HDD is still difficult for you, I'd suggest a little more practice.Then you could come back and probably succeed in it.

Your work has been far from useless chap.  Your contribution has been fantastic thank you. 

However, I feel that single floppy disk images would be much more user friendly for newbies and give any user the choice in what one actually wants to keep in an organised manner.  Some gamers don`t like HDDs full of thousands of games that one is not interested in cluttering up their libaries.  Even back in the Super Wild Card days of piracy it was always nice to be able to organise and keep what one actually played/enjoyed on separate physical disks.

I have no problem in downloading every single image that I desire separately to suit my needs but I can not find some of the titles on-line that you kindly provided as a job lot as singles.

Is not such a paradise when it comes to the latest X68000 obscurities.

Hopefully in time another member of the community will upload them as singles so thus not to trouble you any further.
