SEGA CD Model II Lens

Hey guys! I'd like to ask for your help about the Sega CD Model II lens, I discovered that my SegaCD uses a KSS-240A lens, but also I noticed that the flat cable that comes from the board to the lens is larger than the lens connector.

Anyone knows if it's needed to cut the cable of something extra, or the exact lens model?
