Dreamcast not reading anymore

Hello everybody. In the last months I put out of the box my DC for a ride.
It occasionally hang up/random reset.
I opened it up for cleaning power pinouts (reset fix) and then I started modding it for having internal VGA, following mmmonkey's guide.
Once I soldered and mounted everything, I tested it and it didn't read any disc anymore.
I hook up a precision trimmer to laser, trying to calibrate the lens, but didn't have any success doing that.
I would assume the lens has dead gone, but I can't explain myself such a sudden death.
Anybody here can give me a DC reading of your (working) trimmer lens?

Just a bit of update. I ended up by replacing the lens with a (said to be) same one off ebay.
After buying it, ebay seller's account had been closed. The reason is he was selling s**t stuff and the lens which arrived was not even the same and didn't even light up.
Thanks god to Paypal I'm going to have back my money.
At the moment I don't know what to do.
