Way to turn off a x68k expert HD

I want to know if theres a (safe) way to turn off the machine.

do we just have to push the power button and it close or we can type a command to shut it down?

Just push the button, it's a software-controlled power button, so games will fade out (etc) and the system should shut down cleanly.
