Alrighty.. I'm new to the mod thing. Just did my first mod yesterday, adding stereo to my nes and two mono pots. (And changed the light to blue lol)

So I'm looking for a bit of advice to get component out of my snes, been reading all day but haven't found a straight forward guide. I don't want to use a scart cable and and external rgb > component encoder. I'm looking to have the component jacks right on my snes. So my plan is to hook directly to the av connector on the pcb http://www.gamesx.com/wiki/doku.php?id=av:nintendomultiav pictured top left, to a jrok rgb/component encoder 4.1 http://jrok.com/hardware/RGB.html , to some jacks i install on my snes, and then to the component input on my hdtv and the stereo on my amp.
I have to SNES at a friends house right now, if neither of them are a first generation snes, I may have to go directly from the chip to the jrok.

But before I go ordering parts and what not... Will this work?

There's nothing wrong with your plan, if the jrok works on a SNES it should work whether you wire it direct or whatever.

I haven't messed with jrok's stuff in a long time, but back when we used to hang out in #RGVAC we never could figure out why his boards didn't work on the PCE/TG16.  Dunno if there are similar or still-extant issues like that.
