How to test Atari 2600 Joysticks without the console?

I have two Atari 2600 Joysticks to sell, but I don't know if they work or not.  I have an Atari 2600 Console with the hookups, but I have a newer LCD Television, so I don't think it would work on that since the console is very old and is meant for CRT TV's.  Is there any tester I could use or any way that I could find out if these joysticks work or not?

If you don't have a system to play on, why does it matter?

Do you have a Sega Megadrive / Genesis?  Master System?  You can test on those.
