Black swirl/bios problem for Dreamcast

Hi!
I modded two dreamcast's. Both worked well but one of them went to 'black swirl' before i recieved the info about removing the wire after the mod.

So, is there any way to write to the bios at this state?

you were trying to region mod it ? that's not "bios flashing".

Anyway, when it shows the black swirl does it still read game discs ? Or it stopped completely booting games ?


If one leaves the 12v wire connected permanently the flash chip fries after a while and there's no repair besides an replacement of the flash chip itself.

Ok that was my biggest concern.

It do only read music CD at this state
