I aquired a Sega Megadrive at a bargain price. No wonder it's not working. I least I got the bundled game (Sonic The Hedgehog).
Anyway, I am trying to repair the console, but I did not find any schematics.
It's a Megadrive I, model MD-1095G-1.5.
Can't even tell if it's a PAL or NTSC model. Here are the frequencies of the crystal oscillators: OSC1 - 53.693175 Mhz, X1 - 4.433619 Mhz
I would appreciate any information regarding this particular model.

All the MD's have xtals using those frequencies (at least the 53Mhz).  If you want to know the model you should just snap a pic or look through google.

As far as repairing it goes, look around for the heatsink connected to a 7805 regulator.  See if it's outputting +5v.  More likely than not one of the power fuses has probably blown and you won't get any voltage readout there.  If you don't want to bother hunting down the fuse you may just want to try connecting the power input plug directly to the 7805 input (assuming nothing is shorting to ground).  Hopefully this will get things up and running for you.
