pc console controller

i need some kind of program and a wiring diagram to control switches with my pc.. if i can do this (i know its possible i just dont have a source of info) i will be able to hopefully use my keyboard with console games, i need at very least support for 4 buttons, 5 if possible, more would be great.. thanks
