It's well known that the solder joints in Turbo and PC-Engine consoles go bad, or were joined cold to begin with. I fixed many a TG-16 with a cruddy video or controller port easily, and my beloved Turbo Duo-R was easily fixed as well.

However, I opened up my first American-issue black Turbo Duo and found that it wasn't as easy to get underneath the board. Is there some secret to lifting up the board? I must be missing a screw or a clip, or there must be raspberry jam holding it down or something. I'm sure that it's obvious and I'm just being dense, so any push in the right direction is appreciated.

-KKC, who has no room to set up all his game consoles. Something's gotta give here.

I've no experience of the insides of a PCE, but try looking for those little plastic split pins, of the sort that keep System 11 boards held together. Also look around the edge of the board for plastic clips holding the board down or screws underneath removable components, which I've seen before too.
Start at the top left and work rightwards and downwards.
