PC-Engine GT...dead?

I recently purchased a pc-engine GT. When I turned it on, the screen was fine for a moment but then it got dark while playing a game. I tried to increase the brightness but didn't work. Eventually the GT turned off unexpectedly. I flipped the power-on swtich several times but it wouldn't turn on. Anyone else had this problem before and fixed it?

Sounds like power supply or voltage regulator.

if you cant fix it i'm interested in buying any consoles which dont work, i'm especially after consoles i dont have, the pc-engine is one.
try replacing the power source first though

I always found that those GTs would eat up my batterys quickly, too.
And by the way, there's a section of this forum labled "console repair"
