Modding a 3 button Genesis controller for X68K

I followed this diagram to mod a 3 button Genesis controller to work with the X68000, but (big shocker), only the D-pad works... obviously since those pins didn't change.

Can anyone verify that this diagram is accurate? I double checked my soldering using DMM continuity test and every pin is reaching the board as per the diagram. I'm doing this directly to the controller's board instead of making an adapter.

False alarm. Found a cold solder joint on my controller's board. Reflowed and now fully working. This diagram works fine for regular 3 button Genesis controllers!
