I would like to find a capacitor chart for a PC-9821 Ce I have this computer for several years... The caps of the main board seem OK, but i want to change them for security, but The CDROM was a mess of corrosion and it didn't work. I recapped the CDROM ( it seems that the SCSI controller is inside the CDROM PCB ), it spins good now, tries to read but the lens seems dead ... Anyway. I want to connect and external CDROM drive, but I don't know wich driver should i use. Any help on these two matters ?

Thanks a lot !

If anyone is looking for this in future I found this guy's blog quite useful for the CE model and some repairs: http://osimasan1515.blog.fc2.com/blog-entry-245.html

I've used this project to replace the stock CDROM drive with another SCSI one:

Link to the files in case you want to print them:

I'm from Spain too, so if you need some more guidance with it just send me a private message :D

The cdrom on the PC-9821CE is IDE how did you replaced it using a SCSI one ? you mean the internal drive ?.

The CDROM on the PC-9821Ce is SCSI, not IDE. The Ce2 has an IDE though, in case you're mistaking both.
