Question, I have a classicpc X68000 mouse to USB and X68000 keyboard to ps2 adapter. Are they interchangeable or really dedicated to mouse/keyboard respectively. I.e. could I connect the X68000 mouse to USB adapter to my keyboard port and use a USB keyboard?

You should try, there is no risk of friing anything
