Okay so I got a Windows 3.1 + CD Driver.hdi and a Windows 3.1 + CD Driver Boot Disk.fdi from here
https://my.mixtape.moe/mpjzrb.7z
and it doesn't work on either np2 or anex86. When I just put in the hdi I get a message saying no system files and when I put only the fdi in I get this message.

When I put both the hdi and the fdi in I get this message .

Please help, i'm begging you.

Hi there!

1. Load the FDI (disk image) into the first FDD drive in Project Neko II.
2. Load the HDI image into IDE#0.
3. Reset the Emulator.

This will load Windows 3.1 after booting.

If you are interested in learning more about PC-98 and just want to ask beginner questions, there is a beginner's channel on the PC-98 discord server that 98digger posted a couple of threads ago. It's a pretty active community and usually we'd be more than willing to answer general PC-98 related questions.

For the different Windows versions I suggest to use Neko Project 21/W
https://sites.google.com/site/np21win/

Windows 31/Windows 95/Windows 98 SE

Okay I got it to work, but I don't see cd4win. Do you know where I could find that?

Guuest

I don't really know how I would check how many colors I use. Anyway, I downloaded cd4win from that link you gave, but I don't really know where to put it. Is there a specific folder or what?

AnnaWu

As first, I recommend to learn "How to install Windows 3.1" on PC.
Has nothing to do with the PC-98.

OK, I checked your preinstalled hard disk image with Windows 3.1

- use 16 colors
- not bootable (need the floppy disk image for the DOS system files)

Start the "Windows Setup" to see the driver (display)

I finish my contribution to this topic

Thank you for your support Anna! :)

I need to learn how to use the various Windows versions for PC-98 as well and I've heard great things about that NP21/W.
