I am complete noob I just discovered how bad using the white red and yellow cables are on a LCD ...I used to use rf for my snes.

Someone in my town is selling a SONY PVM-20M4U for 75 dollars... Is this a good deal? What cable do I need to connect to my normal american snes? Thanks for any help!

 Hi PersianImm0rtal !

It is a good price. The best I could find on eBay at that price was a 14" PVM monitor. Yours, I believe, is 20". You will probably need the following thing:

2pcs BNC Male Plug to RCA Female Jack Coax Cable CCTV Video Adapter Connector

This will do if you want to use the video input. For RGB you will need to modify a SNES scart cable by adding BNC connectors to the RGB signals.

Thanks sooo much for the reply. Can't I just buy a cable to get this snes to work on it for RGB? I think RGB is the best, right?

Can you link me to EXACTLY What I need to buy?

Hi PersianImmOrtal !

You will need the following cable. It should allow you to connect any 15kHz device which uses SCART. Just to be on the safe side, ask the seller if this cable is compatible with your monitor before purchasing.

Female RGB Euro SCART to 4 BNC + Audio Cable Sony PVM Sega Genesis SNES Neo Geo

And one of these SNES cables depending on which region console you want to use.

Okay, thank you very much  ;D

I was reading about it for three days and got more and more confused. This makes sense now!

I read somewhere that you had to "find out the correct sync" and "mod your snes". This made me very confused. Thank you for simplifying the matter. You are an asset to the community.

I got an s-video cable in the mean time and I am getting scrambled lines,  :[

I can still see most of the picture. But I get wavy lines moving downward.
