hi guys its a long while since i have posted on this forum, but here goes i decided to try and fix the capacitors on my gamegear, "sound fix" but i wanted to test it working before i started, but when i turn it on the screen lights up and then powers off, even with a game in the machine say "sonic" you see the sega logo and then it switches off.

i have tried batteries and power supply both show the same result any help would be greatful.

I would suggest you to try the mod anyway:
1) the replacement caps are very cheap and the mod is pretty easy itself;
2) you might solve the problem *by* replacing the caps.
