there are some great threads that need to be stickied.
i have a 3do and cdi rgb post, some people have a nes rgb post ect.
any thread with very useful info should be stuck to the top.

There are a lot of smart people here with a lot of smart forum posts.  If we stickied them all you wouldn't find new posts until page six.  =)

The forum is for discussion and exchange. But if you feel strongly that some nugget of information should be preserved, then I suggest that you take it upon yourself to copy the information to an appropriate location in the GamesX Wiki. Any reader can create a new page and edit data on any other page to add links or correct information as our collective knowledge grows. Of course, you should take special care to reference the forum as appropriate and give credit where it's due.

-KKC, on a mad quest to find a digital Gamecube video cable...

You could make a thread with links and descriptions to various useful topics and then that thread could be stickied. That way, all the info would be easily accessible, and the forum wouldn't get cluttered.

That's right Lawrence :D

Hey wait!?  am I one of the smart peoples   :D

there are some posts with way better info like the few i listed.
most threads are basic trouble shooting(my cable dont work), asking if something can be done(can genesis out put s-video),
or just mild post of intrest(xrgb3 is out)

one locked stickied post with links to the best posts would be great.

NFG

Again I gots ta ask: What's wrong with the wiki?  Make a wiki page with your favourite posts, and I'll sticky the link to there.  It makes way more sense than a sticky post with a list only one person can add to, don't you think?

Endymion

Yeah. Doesn't your web browser have a bookmark feature?

acem77

QuoteYeah. Doesn't your web browser have a bookmark feature?
bookmark? the best they do are block my view of the screen and never help find my spot again once i turn off my computer.  <_<

not like i really care for my self. i have done every mod to all my systems
not as if i only leached info i have posted some fresh info.
i just think it is a shame some truly golden post get lost in time.
i guess me and 1000+ of other forum uses and moderators must be crazy for using them dang useless stickies.

fig it would be more noob friendly.

well then maybe a sticky for the wiki :P

NFG

We all agree with your original suggestion, it's a good idea.  The wiki is the best place for it though.

Quotewell then maybe a sticky for the wiki

Excellent.  Motion carried, and it is now law.

kendrick

A sticky for the wiki? Would creaky rhyming jokes be geeky? Could I work in a tiki idol or a guy named Ricky? That'd be freaky!

Seriously, how's a sticky note pointing to the wiki any different from the link on the main page? Or are we talking about a wiki page with hard links to forum threads?

-KKC, who resists singing Toni Basil songs now.

man oh man how could it hurt. maybe some people dont visit the main site.
some thing as useful as the wiki should be posted in all locations.

p.s.
need to let the forum search engine use 3 character searches.
right now the limit is 4...grrr try to find nes, rgb ,3do , cdi , ect...

p.p.s.
+1 :D

Yeah the 4 char limit suck, Should be remove!

NFG

Sadly I can't change the 3-char limit.  I know it sucks.

Now, we should start pulling the good links out of the forum for the wiki.  I'm thinking we don't need a specific wiki page for forum links, they should be slotted into the appropriate sections (imports, AV mods, controller hacks etc).  If you guys don't want to add the links, list 'em here and I'll take care of it.

DarthCloud

Just add some link from the forum to wiki for the NES RGB mod

Check out in AV mod section of WIki

Would be great that everyone keep that form for adding forum link into the wiki.
