I received a CZ-600C with only 1 MB. Is it possible to play Parodious with just 1 MB, or would I need the 1 MB expansion?

Thanks.

In this list you can find all the information about the games you want.

Answering your question: Yes, you can play Parodius ( パロディウスダ ) with 1MB of RAM, with the floppy disk version.

In case you are using a HDD image with an emulation device, remember to start the games by double pressing the Q key on the keyboard, to avoid possible error messages.

Regarding memory expansion:

https://booth.pm/en/items/5174393 ( Mandatory expansion for models with only 1 MB )

https://www.polykubos.fr/en/vintage-computers/1-x68000-sram-midi-board.html ( 8 MB+MIDI )

Select the kit code C02, you can also choose three colors for the back plate.

Sorry I had a moment of confusion, on your CZ-600C version the CZ-6BE1A memories are not compatible.

This is the original Sharp model you need:
https://gamesx.com/wiki/doku.php?id=x68000:cz-6be1_-_memory_expansion_board

Alternatively there was a more recent version:
https://www.katch.ne.jp/~x680x0_mania/xm6be1.html

But it is no longer in production, I hope that a more informed user than me can tell you where to buy a compatible model.

As for games, the answer is yes, you need to have both disks in the floppy drivers.

With just 1 MB, i can use an emulation device like BlueScsi ? ( https://shop.onegeekarmy.eu/index.php/product/bluescsi-v2-centronics-2/ ). Any guidelines for setting up BlueScsi on my model?

Does anyone sell a 1 MB module?

Thanks.

No, the HDD image would take up about half of your system memory to run.

As for installing BlueSCSI 2 on your model, this should provide the information you need.
Read post #4 carefully, it should be right for you.

Hi, I just created a topic in the Buy/Sell/Trade section as I happen to have modern replica of 1MB memory modules for sale. If anyone is interested I will redirect to this topic:

If this is useful to anyone, the manufacturer Xymiem has released the schematics for freely making 1MB RAM, for X68000 (first model CZ-600C) and for the ACE/PRO models.
