English translation patch for Ningyou Tsukai (aka Metal & Lace).

Hi all,

First time posting on this forum.  I wanted to share with everyone my first ever FM Towns/Marty translation patch.  I've been working on the Dreamcast for a number of years, but recently took an interest in these beautiful machines from Fujitsu.

The patch is currently at version 0.9 and can be downloaded here:

I'd love to get this to 1.0 someday, but there are two compressed graphics (explained in the readme) that contain Japanese text.  If any other romhackers or reverse-engineers want to take a look, feel free!  I assume it's some type of LZW (or similar) compression being used, but even if that algorithm or LZ implementation is identified, I still have a ways to go in learning various graphics formats used on old machines like the Towns.

Anyway, I wanted to share this release with all of you with the hope that it's the first of many.

I've released a new "Marty Version" of this patch to address the color palette corruption on the Marty, which was experienced even with original retail release. This custom version leverages TOWNS OS V2.1 L40, replacing the version baked into the original.
