I stumbled upon this curious page that shows a bunch of different socket 7 and AMD Slot A/Socket A motherboards working with the FMV Towns PCI Card http://mujirushi.org/vtowns/index.html

Some of the info provided here, is quite interesting, though I have trouble understanding it.

Below is what it says I would need to do on my Asus P5A series board for it to work:

Does anyone here have any experience using the FMV Towns PCI Card with other motherboards than the one in the FMV Towns, or have experience making custom cables/ know the right capacitors or tools, adapters, cables, etc, needed to do what is shown in the diagram above?

as of right now, all I'm able to do with the card on the board is get a passthrough signal from my video card into it and out of the card into the monitor, and using vtowns.com just causes a black screen for now (until I can figure out how to properly initialize it)

I believe the pinouts of the card are these: but I could be wrong: http://hp.vector.co.jp/authors/VA018718/towns/connect/vtwcpin.htm

and this schematic I believe shows the pins that the strange custom cable needs to connect to on the cpu
