Could you explain me what happens when i press A or B on the Joypad while pressing Reset ?
Reset + F0 or F1 boots from Floppy, +H0 from Hdd (or 2 -4).
But what happens when i press A oder B ?
The twons shows a little Pic of a Pad and A or B - but i can´t see what happens.

And is there a combination to turn on and off the Fast mode ?
Found a option in TownsOS2.1 - but is there another way ?
Without Townsos or in V1.1 ?

Holding both A and B on the controller during boot gets you into the boot menu.  You can choose the boot device and enable or disable fast mode.  You can't see the screen as it runs in 24khz.  You can also hold T key while booting to enable fast mode.

This doesn´t work on my CX20. I got two CX20 and both doesn´t semm to do anything if i press A+B.
Not even a hint in the lower right corner.
Is the CX20 here different ?
Is there an Option in setup2 for this ?

Works on my Fresh and UX20.  The CX20 was a low priced budget model that came out after the 486 models, so maybe they cut stuff out to save on costs.

Are you sure ?
On this site: FM Towns models is a good list.
UX20 and CX20 are both from 1991, fresh is from 1994.
Perhaps the UX has a different Rom version than the CX.
Is it possible to update this ?

SuperDeadite

Check the i/o slots in your CX20.  If they are all white, then it's an old Towns.  If you have any black slots, it's a new version.  Last CX20 I saw in person was 1 white for legacy cards, and the rest were black.

Yes i got 2 Black, 1 White.

Ok i got it - in UNZ Emulator.
I got 2 sets of Bios roms - the fmt_sys.rom has 2 different version.
On one of them i got the yellow running man on the other not.
I think my CX20 got an old or cheap rom.

So which IC is the rom and is it possible to update ?
