Being freed from the limitations of HTML page design was really satisfying.  I don't claim to be an amazing designer but I would have really loved to read a book laid out like this, with large graphics and colourful pages.  I wanted to make something info-dense, that was just crammed from start to finish with something to read and look at.  A book to be experienced and enjoyed.
