Hi Guys,

I would like to have one external backup PSU for the X68000 - helps during repair, testing etc.
I searched every online shop I know looking for that 6 pin connector used in the Expert/XVI psu models but could not find.

Anyone here know where I can find that connector?

Eventually, I would like to buy all those connectors, so I would have one PSU ready to go.

Hi Costa,

Molex tend to make pretty much most power type connectors.

I am not sure if this is the right type needed, I am not home so cannot check but how about this one

Good Luck!

Thanks mate,

Not quite what I was looking for.

Anyway, just arrived a batch of parts I ordered (from Thailand), and out of despair, I had ordered a few molex type, 3.96mm housing connectos. I was mostly sure it was not going to fit the X68000 pin header, because according to measures, the pin pitch shuld be 5mm.

However... yes, however, 3.96mm is the pitch spacing to go! It fitted in Super HD connector on the daughter board almost perfectly.
I am preparing an external ATX psu for my X68000s, and will fit housing connectors of both types (6pin for Super/XVI/etc and 4pin for X68000 original) along with all other connectors required.

This is the connector for Later models: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251118500391
This is for the first models: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251118500391

This seller also has some of the other connectors if anyone need it - like the 2 pin housing connector that plug into the motherboard of the Super/XVI,etc.
