I thought maybe we could use an interesting auction thread.  List those weird things you find.  =)

First up, the hard way to add 4MB to your X68.  What was the deal, someone had a stack of surplus 256kB SIMMs?  Kinda nutty if you ask me.  =)

 Hi Lawrence,

I am tempted to upgrade memory for my ACE-HD. I currently have 2MB installed. What would be the best way to add more ?

X68000 personal computer is called, "X68K" or "no good good" is called, is the PC that are loved by many people today.

It kind of depends on your existing configuration.  My XVI has 2MB onboard, a 2MB SIMM expansion board, and a 10MB card in the I/O slot.  Your ACE has 1MB standard, how's the extra 1MB installed?

Right now I have a PIO-6834-1M  expansion card by I.O DATA fitted in my X68000

Probably your only option then is a card for one of your I/O slots in the back.  There are many available, from simple RAM cards to SIMM-using boards to dual-purpose RAM+co-pro boards like the KGB-PRK.

[EDIT] Here's 4MB that'll work for you.

Thanks for the info. I have a sweet idea. We could collaboratively make a page with info about various X68000 hardware and pictures. Kind of like big book of Amiga hardware. Check it out: http://www.amiga-hardware.com/
