TURBO DUO 240V Adapter Mod

Hi i live in australia and the turbo i duo i have uses a 100volt ac adapter where i am we output 240volts from our wall sockets. im thinking of using a megadrive transformer as my ac adpter for the turbo duo. 2 problems thoigh the megadrive transformer is 10volts 1.2a and the turbo duo is 10volts 1000ma does this matter. If i put the turbo duo sized plug on it would it work without damaging my console ?

It's important to match the volts: too few or too many and things will explode.

Amps are different: You must have enough, or more, than the system wants.  If you've got a 1.2A supply and the system wants 1A, you'll be fine.

Ok thanks for your help i mooded a megadrive 1 transformer and it worked perfect.
