I had a problem with the CD-ROM lens assembly in my Saturn MK-3220, the laser was damaged and would not emit a beam. So I took the working CD-ROM lens assembly from my $5 MK-80000 and transplanted it into the MK-3220, works like a charm, I was playing King of Fighters '95 in no time!

A couple of CD-ROM disassembly pictures...

Remove the two screws...




Release the two plastic clips...



There is a metal rod holding the lens assembly in place, all you have to do is push the piece of plastic on the one end out of the way and slide the rod out from the other end...



You can now lift the lens assembly out and get at the ribbon cable connector...
