psone lcd 50/60 switch?

hey people, i recently shipped a guy in the us a psone, he says with his psone lcd screen (official sony) has a rolling picture.. im assuming this is because they locked them to the regions refresh rate. im willing to bet it wouldnt be so hard to change it, but i dont have one and i dont know whats inside them, so can anyone help me out? if i can get the info, ill buy a screen myself.

Im not too sure about this but I think that the PSOne screen uses a crystal (or something like this) to determine the refresh.  I once saw a German forum disscussing this but I can't get Google to spit the link out again for me.

Phreak since the official ones use RGB and people hook them up to all sorts of gadgets, I would say no its not a sync issue. I don't have one either so anyones guess is as good as mine.

well rgb still has a refresh rate, it's still the 50/60 issue.
if you can find that site it'd be heaps appreciated.
