I am looking for suggestions on this one.  I am novice at modding but am getting into it a bit more Ive only gone as far as switching out led in my consoles.  But I know my way around.  I found plans here to make wireless controllers which i plan on doing later on.  But my problems is im not a programer and if it wasn't for hex code being available to mod these controller i would be screwed.  Anyway my point is that i want to know if anyone could help me with figuring out how to mod the snes mouse to be used with all snes games.  and by all i mean the point and click games that aren't supported by this mouse (clocktower, pac-man 2, shadowrun).  I know it might not be practical but i think it would be worth looking into.

Hi,
Let me start by saying you will not get the pointer to respond to the mouse in the way a supported game will.
That said, you can get eight directions and possibly some speed control (pulsing directions) working.
I don't know the details of the quadrature decoder in a ball mouse so I can't give you any useful information:(
Hopefully someone will reply who has knowledge In this field

thank you for your reply.   i was thinking something along the lines of a mouse/controller combo.  i saw something similar on ebay for the ps2 that looked interesting.
