Neo Geo CDZ RGB--same degradation?

I've been looking at some Neo Geo CDZ units lately and wondering if the caveats here have any bearing? The first time I saw it I guess I sort of parsed it as if it were all-inclusive of Neo units, but when I started looking for a console I checked there again to be sure and it looks like no mention is made segregating the cart and CD line.

Is there any model of CDZ I should look out for or try to get? And yes, RGB is the ultimate consideration for me.

I have a CDZ but damned if I haven't lost the AC adaptor for it.  AFAIK the CDZ is the same as all the CD systems, and they all use the newer CXA1645 instead of the 1145, so I'd guess (but can't confirm at this time) that the RGB output is lovely.

I certainly never noticed problems last time I hooked it up.  I think you're better off considering the Neo CD caveats: it kinda sucks.  You're better off with original CDs in a PC running a NeoCD emulator, IMO.  The load times on original hardware - even on the CDZ - are appalling.  Yes, the CDZ is a double speed unit, but it's 2x reading, not 2x seeking, so games that do a lot of track hopping (ie: all fighters) are still dreadfully slow to load.
