Metal Orange stuck on a level

Has anyone beat this level?

The golden blocks are invulnerable and they protect 6 blocks needed to complete the level. The 9 other blocks reappear when hit.

Use the gigaball level 2 powerup.

Since the normal gigaball seems to be on a timer, and you need to upgrade it before it expires, it may be more feasible to obtain a gigaball/ level 2 in the level before and use it to your advantage once the next level starts. I know I've had trouble with some of the later levels unless I came into them already prepared.
