Hi all,
are PRO more fast than XVI in initialization?,
my XVI is really SLOW compared with the PRO...,the RAM can change something in this sense,the PRO have 6MB and the XVI 2MB.

I can probably verify that if you think there is a problem.
Your XVI might be checking for SCSI devices on boot, and that will delay the actual startup.

You can also try again, booting both with OPT1 pressed, and see if it gives you a different outcome?

i try tomorrow and i tell you... , i dont know why exactly,
but i like more PRO than the others models,maybe because is easy to Open,or the 4 I/O ports...,
i m in love with this PRO  ,

Having 4 I/O ports is super nice. Hopefully i'll own a pro one day.

This reminds me, could you post the tutorial for your pro overclock modification? (Pcb photo + other details/changes to motherboard)

I am not the author of the Overclock... ,
but i have some Photos ,when the ATX PSU was stop to work, and i was replaced,i  take some Photos.
sadly i not dare to dismount the machine for see details,
the wires RED and Black go to the Swicht... for change 10Mhz/15.1Mhz,and other RED/BLACK wires goto this close Chip,you can see the RED one,the Black go to the last Leg of the Chip in the opposite side:


this is the ATX PSU mod you know...

this is all that the machine has changed, nothing more.

Thanks! I don't think that's enough info to generate a diagram, since i can't read the IC names and i don't have the backside of that copper PCB. If you ever open it again, try to make note of the IC names

In the meantime, i will make a diagram for the Expert overclock mod.
