Experimenting with Yobo and GameStop Brand GC Controller Joysticks

Just curious if anyone had experimented with putting either of these joysticks into a Yobo/Retro-bit n64 controller?(they are the same product just with different brand names stamped on them and I know you can put a 1st party GameCube joystick into those 2 without a microcontroller)
