sega cdx help & hi

Hello. I have a sega cdx that  I had for years. I havent played It for a while and when I took it out of my closet It woulnt play games or cartridges.Only music cds and the screen lights up and say game when I put a game in it. This is my baby. I bought her in 1995. I havent opened her up yet. Ive looked through the forums and mabey it might be a  fuse or some such. Does any one have any Info that might save my baby.

Im not too familiar with the sega cdx unit, but it would seem to me some sort of bios failure. That seems odd to me because i dont see how this would occur. Now when you say the screen lights up, are you referring to your tv?
