Hello, I was wondering if there was any website that shows all the controllers for every game console that exist, including 3rd Party Controllers?  I'm curious to see what's out there.  Thanks.

This, like the rarest game ever question, seems impossible.  There are so many Chinese clones and unheard-of Japanese  weirdisms and region-specific releases and colour variants...  Where do you draw the line?

I've got a box of a hundred different pads and a a dozen different joysticks, and I'm still nowhere.  A list of everything would be a very long list indeed.

I agree. It is impossible to track down all the controllers.

A researcher I've met in the past is working on a book about the evolution of game controllers. It won't showcase all the controllers, but all the features (shapes, d-pads, joysticks, button layouts, ...) ever existed and how they have been changing over time.

He post some updates every now and then here:

I've probably got around 40 sticks and 30 pads. I don't know, maybe more. At some point I want to do a classy photo shoot but it is going to take a lot of time.

I'm also sort of OCD about certain things and I'm trying to complete sets before I show them off. With some of them I may just have to settle for missing 1 or 2 items in a mini collection.

There are so many 1 off controllers, even from big manufacturers that I try not to worry about having 100% completion.

What I like is collecting all that are like in a set. For example,

all 8-bit generation Ascii sticks
all of the 16/32 bit Hori fighting sticks
all Sega arcade sticks

I can't even get 100% on those, but still, 90% or 95% looks pretty sharp all sitting next to each other.

To give you some perspective, here is my current list, I probably have half of these, maybe 60%, but a lot I still have to track down
