I have been through many SNESs. All have had some sort of weird problem or another. My first one was very yellow, and after about 5 minutes of gameplay, the color would disappear. Also, it would like to eat your saved data on your games. I then obtained another one, which was a little better....but still yellow. This SNES would like to turn Mario into a little white block, and Donkey Kong had some sort of weird growth on his head. Alot of games just didn't work on this SNES (mainly games with the FX chip) or the games would be slightly scrambled. I then decided to go to gamestop and purchase their last mini- SNES, and ive been happy ever since. Those older models are crap! My mini-SNES and I are tiGHT!

What strange things does YOUR SNES like to do?

Well, the battery on my Zelda is dead (cart's outer shell is broken). Enter your name, then press END. The sound really goes wierd. Otherwise, my old and still grey SNES works perfectly fine. In fact, it seems to be the only system that withstood prolonged exposure to mold when I lived at my old house (both my NES and Genesis died then, but thankfully found a free replacement NES).

When my SNES drinks, it's given to some Irish singing and dancing.

Hey! It can do a variety number with mine, that plays bagpipe.

Looks like someone else has been drinking, not the SNES ;)

My NES works when it wants to. let's put it that way.

Your SNES will only go yellow if its exposed to direct sun light a lot. Theres probably other causes too.

I have just moded a SNES (50/60Hz and disabled region lock out). During the process I managed to lift both pin 23 AND 24 on PPU2. The trace lifted with it so I can't just stick it down. Anyway, I finished the mod to see how it would affect it.

Some games work fine, such as US Super Star Wars, US Rival Turf and US Mecarobot golf while others such as PAL Mario Allstars just displays a matrix of dots, while others work with similar symptoms to Roberts SNES.

Weird blocks appear in Starwing (UK Starfox) and Super Soccer has 4 or 5 lines of what looks like binary code on the title screen!

Most games also seem to take a little longer to load than usual, or that could just be me!

I've had my same SNES since I first got it, whenever that was, many a blue moon ago I warrant, and it still works perfect. The bottom half is turnin' yeller, but everything ages and I'm not too worried, my Love's bottom half is yeller and she still works too, ye-bugger! Mayhaps I've been drinking too!  :)
Hey there, fancy pants!
