I bought a side loading nintendo from a thrift store, and it has these distinct, vertical bars on the screen. My guess is that one of the capacitors isn't pushing enough juice through to the video output and that something needs to be changed. I have no idea about how to evaluate which component is shot, but I figure if I identify the right part and replace it with a new one, I can get the video to look right. Other than soldiering, what type of tools and knowledge would this involve?  Would I have to take a bunch of electronics courses, or is this something relatively simple. I wish I just knew what part it was so I can replace it.
