Hello all  ;D

Is there any problem to wire directly the r,g,b,sync, gnd outputs of a jamma board (mvs or other standalone arcade board like double dragon, robocop, etc.) on a C= 1084S (DB 9 model, witch csync input) or some components are required between the boards and monitor ?  ???

Thanks

Carlos Andrade.

You can wire it straight up without trouble.  I've done it myself.

HereĀ“s the first test:

That's cool!  Try using 150 ohm resistors instead of 75 ohm.  It looks like the signal is a bit strong on that monitor...  ???

It's the camera. The picture is very good, but i'll try 150 to compare results  :D

I'm not familiar with that particular PCB, but with others (e.g. CPS2/3, ect), the output signal is way too strong for a non-arcade monitor, and 75 ohms will not be enough to lower the signal level, that's all.   Do you have the brightness and contrast settings turned down considerably on your 1084?

carlosemandrade

Brightness/contrast on monitor are at "default" level.
I'm planning to buy other boards, and considering using pots instead resistors to have better level control. i have some 1k pots :)
