Snes with hardrive

Hey guys,            Does anyone know how i could play snes roms on my snes using a hardrive to store them on? What else would i need and is it even possible? It would be a bit like this NES PC mod (http://www.instructables.com/id/Build-a-Nintendo-NES-PC/) but without the computer because i dont have a motherboard small engough.

The mod you're describing does not match the one you reference. The NES/PC replaces all the components of the original game console with an emulation platform. You seem to want to construct external storage that interfaces with the cartridge port, which is feasible but requires custom programming. As GamesX is focused on hardware mods and not custom software, this type of mod is off-topic.

Note also that the use of ROM images is generally also off-topic in the manner you are describing.
