I see on ebay that there exist SCART RGB to component video converters. Do these work with NTSC video game consoles?

thanks!

That they do, and very well it seems, I purchased one on ebay, a Scart to Y-U-V Converter, then all you will need to do is to get a new AC adapter from radio shack or frys to power the unit. Make sure it is 12 volts, and is no more than 300 mA if the mA is higher it can over heat the unit. Then find an Auction for a RGB Scart cable on ebay for the console you want it for, and it works.

Using an AC adapter with more amperage shouldn't hurt the device at all.  It'll only take what it needs, that's the rule of electricity.

Too high voltage:  Bad
Too high amperage:  Not bad
Too little voltage:  Bad
Too little amperage:  Bad

Btw, I hear those boxes have "curls" in the picture for some people...  Be careful first.
