sorry for sounding like such a noob, but what does that do exactly?  the extra LEDs sound cool, but I dont know what an address checker is X-P

When you're programming there are certain areas in the system's RAM that are reserved for things like the OS, BIOS calls, and if used, the modem (X-band in this case).  The address checker will monitor accesses and halt the system, lighting up the LEDs that indicate the address illegally accessed.  Make note of these, check your code, and find the bug.  It's kind of a last stage check, I think.
