First off, I apologize that I am completely ignorant on this topic.  I do not know what RBG is or have the slightest idea what a din pin is.  I just bought a xc3315c for $25 and I have connected it with S-video from my satellite receiver and RCA jacks for audio.  There is a picture and sound.  However the picture (this is hard for me to explain) has a blue looking tint on areas that are white or very light.  I have tried fiddling with the settings on the front panel but nothing seems to take the blue away.  Does anyone know if I should hook this up another way or have any ideas I could try to get rid of the blue?

Thank you,
Jen

You're talking about the Mitsubishi monitor used in broadcast equipment, right? "RGB" stands for red/green/blue and is descriptive of the three color guns typically found in CRT monitors. If your pure white signal is appearing blue, that means that the red and green guns have slightly different calibration than your blue gun. Because the focus of this board is on displays as they relate to video games, you might have better luck asking for help from dedicated CRT repair techs.

I encourage you to read the GamesX video primer tutorials, as they apply to any type of video signal and not just what's produced by game systems.

-KKC, who just realized the punk clown in the VGA commercial is holding a Dreamcast controller. Cool.
